At Philadelphia Recovery Residence’s we believe those who suffer from alcohol and drug addiction are experiencing a three-fold illness: Mental, Physical, & Spiritual. In order to recover all three aspects of the disease of addiction must be treated.

To break the vicious cycle of alcohol and drug addiction a person should have a lot of support. Usually inpatient detoxification and residential treatment is preferred before an individual enters a recovery house. We recommend a minimum of 30 days of inpatient rehabilitation before entering a structured sober living environment.  Studies indicate long term treatment paired with the peer support of a recovery house gives a person the best chance at maintaining sobriety for many years to come. Most residents at our recovery houses will often continue treatment with intensive outpatient (IOP) or outpatient (OP) provider while maintaining abstinence from drugs or alcohol.
